Butterfly Wonderland

Butterfly Wonderland is the only one of its kind in America and it has been ranked among the "coolest attractions" in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Arizona by several travel-related websites such as TripAdvisor. It is a privately-owned attraction located within the Desert Botanical Garden in Papago Park. It even showcases live butterflies (with approximately 1,500 species) from around the world including Australia, Indonesia, and South America. There are also birds, reptiles, amphibians, and other animals to observe at this place. Visitors can learn more about these creatures with hands-on experiences like feeding a bird with their very own hand or touching a cockatoo's blue tongue. Butterfly Wonderland is open every day except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

This attraction has the following highlights: Butterfly Pavilion, Butterfly Garden, Butterfly Jungle, and Butterfly Sky Garden. Butterfly Pavilion is where you can observe live butterflies up close & personal. Butterfly Garden showcases over 5,000 live flowers that attract butterflies like Monarch Butterflies (commonly known as "monarchs"), Painted Ladies (also called "painted ladies"), and more! Butterfly Jungle features a variety of birds from around the world including parakeets, cockatiels, and blackbirds. Butterfly Sky Garden provides a rooftop experience that allows guests to walk amongst native desert flora while being surrounded by hundreds of free-flying butterflies on three levels. More than just an attraction for young kids, Butterfly Wonderland is also great for as well as the whole family.
